Thanks for posting this article. I am extremely frustrated with struggling to search out relevant and intelligent commentary on this subject. Everybody today goes to the very far extremes to either drive home their viewpoint that either 1) everybody else in the world is wrong, or two that everyone but them does not “really understand” the situation. Thank you for your consise, relevant insight.

I like all points you share here. Do open source projects using the same tactic? Their products are completely free but they can still make most out of them and even become rich. For instance, Firefox earn millions last year although it doesn
