Desktop publishing, or , is the process of using a computer and specific kinds of to combine text and graphics to create documents such as newsletters, brochures, books, and more.

In the process of translation, DTP is an essential service that is offered to the customer, in order to design the documents as they wish.

The designers receive documents in different types of format. It is for this reason that they employ a wide variety of tools, including:
