Specialization in a specific topic comes from the will of the translator, which involves a large amount of interest in the topic, which leads them to study it in-depth or perhaps they have experience as a professional in that field that accredits them as a specialist in the field.

In English, as with any widely-spoken language, another aspect that is a subcategory of specialization is regionalization, i.e. the different expressions and changes in meaning that are in place in different countries, etc.
